Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from the first session?
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, share what brought you in, and begin building a safe, supportive relationship. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Do you provide culturally responsive or BIPOC-affirming care?
Yes. We are committed to providing care that honors lived experience, identity, and cultural context. Our therapists practice with cultural humility and strive to create a space where BIPOC clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
Do I get to choose my therapist?

Yes. You’re welcome to request a specific therapist or ask for help finding the best fit. Our intake team will support you in matching with a clinician who aligns with your needs and preferences.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
We offer both virtual (telehealth) and in-person sessions, depending on the service and therapist. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and accessibility of virtual therapy.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or navigating a life transition, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to start — it’s okay to come in simply wanting support or clarity.
What if I’ve felt misunderstood or unsafe in therapy before?
We understand that many people — especially BIPOC clients — have had experiences of being minimized or unheard in healthcare spaces. We take this seriously and work collaboratively to create a different, more supportive experience.
Are your associate therapists supervised?
Yes. All associate therapists receive ongoing clinical supervision to ensure ethical, high-quality, and compassionate care. This means you benefit from both your therapist’s direct support and experienced clinical leadership.
How do I get started?
